Supporting the people already doing the work.
One Wildlife Preservation works with communities, conservation teams, fire and emergency services, wildlife veterinarians and other field partners where practical support can strengthen conservation outcomes.
Our approach is collaborative. We do not need to replace good work that already exists. We aim to add capacity, coordination, field support and resources where they can be useful.

Collaborative Snare Removal & Field Monitoring
We work alongside existing snare-removal projects and local communities to locate, document and remove snares while improving field awareness of where wildlife is being placed at risk.
Community participation and local knowledge are important parts of this work. The goal is to strengthen existing efforts, document evidence and reduce preventable wildlife injury and loss.
Hessequa Fire Department Wildlife Rescue Support
One Wildlife Preservation supports wildlife-focused response around wildfire incidents in collaboration with Hessequa fire services, helping connect emergency operations with the needs of wildlife affected by active fires.
This work is centred on preparedness, communication and safe coordination. Wildlife response must fit into the wider emergency picture and never interfere with fire suppression or responder safety.
Wildfire Wildlife Rescue & Recovery
When fire conditions allow safe access, the work continues in the burned landscape. Fire-affected habitat can leave wildlife injured, displaced or exposed to secondary risks after the main fire front has passed.
Our role includes supporting searches, monitoring affected habitat and helping coordinate wildlife response and recovery needs in the aftermath of wildfire.
Wildlife Veterinary Support & Field Rescue
Wildlife rescue often depends on skilled veterinary intervention. One Wildlife Preservation supports wildlife veterinarians and experienced field teams during animal assessment, capture, treatment, transport and other practical interventions.
The veterinarian remains responsible for clinical decisions. Our role is to provide useful field support around the intervention and help the wider response run safely and efficiently.
Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation
Rescue is only the beginning for some animals. Injured wildlife may require treatment, protection, extended recovery and careful monitoring before a safe return to the wild can even be considered.
We support the wider rescue and rehabilitation process by helping connect animals with appropriate care, transport and experienced wildlife professionals.
Anti-Poaching Collaboration & Preparedness
Wildlife protection is stronger when people communicate before incidents happen. We support collaboration and preparedness between conservation stakeholders, field teams and other relevant partners involved in protecting wildlife.
The focus is on practical coordination, clearer reporting and strengthening the systems around field response rather than duplicating the role of established anti-poaching teams.
